Aspirin is added to gammaglobulin for its antiinflammatory and antithrombotic effects. High doses are given till disappearance of the fever, then relayed by preemptive low doses. However, even if high doses seems to reduce duration of fever and inflammatory signs, some data report that it does not change the incidence of cardiac lesions. So, recent papers asked about the need of such dose view its possible side effects like gastrointestinal hemorrhage.
