Atypical Kawasaki Syndrome

• mostly found in infants

• less than 4/5 criteria fulfilled

• often incorrect admitting diagnoses

• high morbidity

• echocardiography warranted

• treatment necessary

Year after year, literature remind us to be aware about atypical Kawasaki. Indeed, diagnosis of such atypic disease is difficult, increasing so morbidity by inappropriate therapy. In any doubt, even if less than 4 criteria are present, a cardiac ultrasound have to be performed and treatment started.
