Atypical Kawasaki: Case 2
4 days high fever - arthralgia - weakness
pharyngitis 3 w before, R/ AB
bilateral non-purulent conjunctivitis
reddened lips, erythematous tongue and throat
Hips, knees and elbows tender on motion
Notes:
Laboratory shows aspecific inflammatory syndrome. Blood and throat cultures are negative. The fever persists despite 48 hours of intravenous antibiotics. Cardiac ultrasound performed at that time shows coronary lesions in this atypic case.
