Topic of the conference
The topic of the conference is to discuss between hepatologists,
transplant physisians and metabolicians the actual indications of medical
versus transplant management of inborn errors of liver metabolism. New procedures
such as hepatocyte transplantation will be discussed, including current
successes and prospects of cell therapy using hepatocyte cell lines. Long
term outcome of children will be discussed, with successes and pitfalls
of both medical and transplant management. Outcome will include survival,
quality of life, social life. Basic science and clinical aspects.
The detailed final program is now on
line. It includes expert conferences and free communications in the field
of metabolic diseases and transplantation. : clinical aspects, new treatments,
diagnostic procedures, substitutive therapy, liver & liver cell transplantation,
stem cell research, hepatocyte cell lines, animal models,.....
